What is the Virtual Visit App?

Virtual Visit is a secure provincial video application which allows Saskatchewan residents to see their health providers without leaving the comforts of their home. It is an intuitive, easy-to-use, safe interface that allows clients the ability to communicate and have private virtual (video) consultations with their healthcare provider, using their personal smartphone, tablet or computer.

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth allows patients and healthcare providers to have a virtual appointment using advanced video equipment, conveniently located at various health centres across Saskatchewan. This virtual option can save patients and clients from having to travel long distances for appointment scheduled at the cancer centres in Saskatoon and Regina. The Virtual Visit app is a great option as well. If that app does not meet the needs for a particular appointment, then Telehealth is a convenient, available option.

What is a Phone Appointment?

Phone appointments are conducted by telephone/mobile phone and are coordinated between the patients/clients and the nurse/physician team and not the virtual care coordinators.
