Breast Cancer Screening Guidelines and Resources

The Screening Program for Breast Cancer is a program of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency for the early detection of breast cancer. The program provides approximately 37,000 screening mammograms each year to women throughout Saskatchewan.

The screening program sends results of the screening mammogram to women and their healthcare provider. With your authorization, nurse navigators, who are registered nurses, will coordinate diagnostic mammograms and/or ultrasounds as recommended by the radiologist for women with an abnormal screen result.
