The Regina and Saskatoon cancer patient lodges offer a home-away-from-home for and patients their companions. The lodges provide room and board in a supportive environment for out-of-town patients. There is a fee for staying at the Lodge and, if needed, we can assist in applying for financial assistance. If you are admitted to the hospital, we will assist your family to find nearby accommodation.
The Volunteer Driving Program operated by the Canadian Cancer Society provides transportation to the cancer centres for patients residing in Regina or Saskatoon and for patients staying with relatives in these cities. We encourage patients who experience financial difficulties because of their cancer to take advantage of this service.
If you require out-of-province cancer treatment, we will assist in coordinating your travel and, if needed, assist in applying for funding from community organizations.
